We are committed to protecting your privacy and recognises its responsibility to keep confidential any information about you which is acquired in connection with your order. We are not currently registered under the Data Protection Act as the data acquired is only used for the management and control of your order.
Your data is only provided to any other third party where they are directly contracted to us to provide a service contributing to the completion of your order. Your data is not provided to any other parties for any purpose, commercial or otherwise, nor is your data sold or made any other use of by us or its contracted service providers. After 6 months from the date of completion of your order your data is archived and then once statutory requirements are fulfilled the data from your order or booking is deleted from our systems.
Cookies are used for two purposes on our website. One is a randomly generated number which is used to maintain the continuity of your order process. Once you close your browser this number is deleted and no longer useful. The other form of cookie is to enable us to track your use of our website so that we can improve the website and its ease of use. This kind of cookie does not provide us with any personal data about you, but does enable us to know your region, type of browser etc and information specific to your use of our website only.

The collection and processing of any personal Data shall always be in line with the GDPR.
How we collect Personal Data:
Only that information input by you to our web site is that collected by Britannia Access Hire. However we will need to take some personal data when processing orders received over the phone or as a result of a direct visit to our distribution warehouse. Personal information received by the online ordering System is used for delivery, Invoicing, collection and refunds. Personal information collected over the telephone or as result of a direct visit is also only used for these purposes. Any relevant payment information is taken and processed by our Credit/Debit Card processing partner “World Pay” and is not retained by Britannia Access Hire. World Pay has their own GDPR procedures.
How We Process Your Data:
Your Personal Data is only used to for internal use in processing orders received via our web site, over the telephone or by direct visit to our distribution warehouse. Suppliers, Service Providers, and Contractors data is retained in order that payments can be made and keeping records for accountancy purposes. We don’t use any of your data for direct marketing. We don’t share, forward or sell your data to any third party.
Right of access:
You can access your data held by us by emailing or telephoning us with your request. This si known as a “Subject access request”. We will respond as quickly as possible but within the statutory 30 day period. Please note that we may need additional ID information in order to process your request, the 30 day period commences upon receipt of all information we need to be able to process your request.
Right of rectification:
If you feel that the personal data we hold in incorrect please advise us as quickly as possible so any alteration can be made to our records.
Right of Erasure:
You always have the right to ask for your personal data to be deleted from our records. Where any legal bases exist we will respond in a timely manner. Please note that where we have any legal or contractual obligation to retain your personal data we may not be able to process your request but this can be discussed with you at the time of your request to erase.
Right to restrict processing:
Should you wish to restrict any use of your personal data please contact us and we will try and assist.
Right to object to Processing:
The right to object to certain types of processing of your personal data remain with you. However in certain circumstances this may mean we are unable to process any potential order from you.
