Providing proof ID for first time customers
When Hiring for the first time, you can use the web site to order and pay for your booking, but on your first time order it will be necessary to provide proof of ID and address to verify your identity.
Proof of ID can be provided by either of the following methods.
This verification will be stored in our records and used when using ordering on the web site or over the phone on future bookings.
Payment for your Hire can be taken via our Web site or at our trade counter in the following ways:
Britannia operates a damage deposit system – this amount will be detailed on relevant page of the equipment being hired. The deposit can be paid in several ways:
All deposits will be refunded on return of the hired equipment in a satisfactory condition. If we are collecting items, then the Hirer must be present so we can agree on the satisfactory condition and return of all item originally hired.
2nd Time Hires and repeat business – Identification details from all initial hires will be retained in our records together with details of previous Hires. This will allow us to process second and subsequent Hires without the need to visit our shop with identification detailed above. A simple call to secure your deposit and the Hire will be authorised.
We can deliver/collect to all SL Post Codes for a fee of £10.00 each way. A delivery and a collection are considered separate trips. All other post codes outside this area will be subject to availability of our transport and will incur additional cost. We would ask that you telephone our office on 01628 669944 and we will try and facilitate your delivery and collection requirements if outside the detailed area.
Deliveries and collections are to and from Kerb side and we would ask that the Hirer is present to sign for receipt of the equipment together will all related safety literature and assembly instructions
Equipment such as Towers must be dismantled before collection.
The Hirer must be present at the time of collection.
Signed Delivery and Collection notes will be kept in our records.
Total loss through Theft will result in full replacement cost be charged.
Our Trade counter is open from 7.00am to 4.00pm Monday through Friday and 7.00am to 12.00pm on Saturdays for collections and returns. If theses hours are not convenient then please phone us and we will be pleased to try and accommodate alternative collection and return times if we can.
